Vestibular Rehabilitation

Vestibular rehabilitation is a specialized form of physical therapy designed to treat dizziness, vertigo, and balance disorders. These conditions are often caused by dysfunction of the vestibular system in the inner ear, which plays a critical role in maintaining balance and spatial orientation.

Conditions We Treat

  • Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)
  • Vestibular neuritis and labyrinthitis
  • Meniere's disease management
  • Post-concussion dizziness and balance problems
  • Unilateral vestibular hypofunction
  • Age-related balance decline and fall prevention

Treatment Techniques

Treatment may include canalith repositioning maneuvers (for BPPV), gaze stabilization exercises, balance training, habituation exercises, and functional mobility training. Your therapist will use specialized equipment including infrared goggles for accurate diagnosis and treatment monitoring.

Results You Can Expect

Many patients experience significant improvement within 4-6 sessions. For BPPV, a single treatment session resolves symptoms in approximately 80% of cases. Our vestibular therapists are certified through the American Institute of Balance.
